Based on student leadership, the Theodore Roosevelt JROTC program strives to teach the values of citizenship and character to high school students. Our battalion provides students the opportunity to compete on a variety of national award-winning, highly competitive teams, including drill, marksmanship, raider and orienteering, and academic and leadership. Our battalion consists of over 150 cadets of varying positions and grade levels. Heavily involved in volunteering and community service, cadets learn valuable leadership skills both inside and outside of the classroom. The Rough Rider Battalion serves to make each cadet the best version of themselves through student-to-student motivation, instructor-guided teaching, and camaraderie.
JROTC Mission Statement: To motivate young people to become better citizens.
